Vera Koontz ‘29 is a first-year from Queens, NY. Her concentration is currently undeclared; she is exploring Africana Studies, English, Sociology, and Art History. Across these disciplines she is particularly focused on postcolonial studies and the Caribbean. Alongside her role at CMES, she is also excited to serve as an Archivist for the Black Star Journal. Both opportunites align with her personal and academic interests. She enjoys reading and creating in her free time.
