Scholarly and research related resources for the region stretching from North Africa to Iran.
Featuring miniature paintings from the estate of Mrs. Adrienne Minassian. The paintings often include text from Persian and Indian tales. Many of the illustrations within the Minassian Collection are depictions of stories from the classical Persian text, Shahnama of Ferdowsi.
The Brown Undergraduate Journal of Middle East Studies (BUJMES) (ISSN: 2641-6239) is an undergraduate-operated interdisciplinary journal featuring academic and creative work on the Middle East/ South West Asia and North Africa from undergraduate and graduate students regardless of institutional affiliation. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and should be submitted to bujmes@brown.edu
The Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning is a dedicated hub for enhancing teaching practices and fostering innovative learning experiences across the Brown community.
Innovative course development is fundamental to Brown’s open curriculum. Mini-grants support small-scale projects, materials, or activities in undergraduate classes.
